Suicide and self-harm are critical public health issues that affect individuals, families, and communities. This course provides an in-depth understanding of the factors contributing to suicide and self-harm, along with effective strategies for prevention, intervention, and support.
Led by mental health professionals with extensive experience in crisis intervention, counselling, and suicide prevention, this training equips participants with the skills and knowledge needed to recognise warning signs, respond appropriately, and support individuals at risk. The course also focuses on understanding the emotional, psychological, and social factors that contribute to self-harm and suicidal behaviours.
Participants will engage in interactive learning, including case studies, role-playing exercises, and discussions, to apply their knowledge in real-life situations. By the end of the training, attendees will be able to identify risk factors, provide support, and intervene safely to help prevent suicide and self-harm.
Whether you are a healthcare professional, social worker, educator, or someone wanting to better understand these issues, this course is designed to meet various needs. Our curriculum ensures that participants are equipped with practical tools and techniques to offer compassionate, informed support to individuals struggling with self-harm or suicidal thoughts.
