This course gives front of house staff a clear, practical understanding of spiking, how it happens and how to respond safely and confidently when concerns arise. Front of house teams are often the first people guests interact with, and they play a vital role in spotting unusual behaviour, changes in someone’s condition or risks developing in real time. The course supports front of house staff to recognise risks, notice early warning signs and respond in a calm, professional way.
Across the programme, learners explore what spiking looks like in real environments, the laws surrounding it and the responsibilities organisations have to safeguard people. They’ll learn how to prevent incidents, how to identify when something is wrong and what to do if someone is at risk or has already been targeted. By the end, FOH learners will feel more confident, more aware and better prepared to protect individuals in their care.
