Fire safety within the workplace relies on effective planning, clear procedures, and individuals who understand how to respond quickly and safely during emergencies. One of the most important roles within this system is that of the Fire Warden (also commonly known as a Fire Marshal).

A Fire Warden acts as a key link between the organisation’s fire safety procedures and the people within the building. They help ensure that fire prevention measures are followed, that evacuation procedures are understood, and that people can leave the building safely if a fire occurs.

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, employers must take appropriate steps to protect employees and building occupants from fire risks. This includes ensuring that fire safety arrangements are in place and that staff are trained to respond effectively in an emergency.

Fire Wardens support the Responsible Person by assisting with fire safety management, identifying hazards, supporting fire drills, and guiding individuals during evacuations.

This Fire Warden / Fire Marshal course provides the knowledge required to perform this role confidently and responsibly. It builds upon the principles of fire safety awareness while introducing the additional duties required for managing evacuation procedures and supporting workplace fire safety management.
