Week Eight Homework 2/4 – Closed Fist Handshape

Task 2

1. Make a list of five signs that use a closed fist handshape. These could include signs like paper, brother, bus, strong, or washing up — but feel free to choose your own.
2. Then, record a short video where you use two of those signs in a sentence. Try to include non-manual features (NMFs) to show emotion, emphasis or meaning. For example, if you’re signing angry, think about how your facial expression can help show that feeling.

You can use the BSL Signing Library to check your signs and handshapes if you’re unsure.
